We, the EWNIEFT Community, are so pleased to offer EFT Externship, and we are honored to have EFT Trainer Kathryn de Bruin, LMFT guide us in our learning.

Created by Sue Johnson, EFT is an experiential therapy for couples, individuals and families that is emotion-focused, attachment-based, and process-oriented. Come learn this beautiful therapy model with us.

This is an official Externship, endorsed by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and brought to you by TRI EFT Alliant and Alliant International University. Externship is the first step in the certification process to become an ICEEFT Certified  EFT Couples Therapist (thus, there is no pre-requisite course).

Learning Objectives include:

1. Learn attachment theory
2. Understand couple distress from an attachment lens
3. Identify the interactional pattern that couples get stuck in
4. Reshape interactional pattern between couples
5. Apply elements of EFT to use with individuals and families

Participants will see a live therapy demonstration by Kathryn de Bruin, a powerful experiential learning tool.

Attending EFT Externship is the first step on the path to EFT Couples certification.  Please see the ICEEFT website for more information about EFT certification.

SCHEDULE AND AGENDA

Externship will meet Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-4:30pm.

There will be an informal social gathering on Wednesday evening.

The Agenda will be (subject to change):

There will be a one-hour lunch (on your own) about half way through each day and a short 10-15 minute break.

Monday:  Welcome and attachment theory

Tuesday:  Stage 1 with videos of real sessions, and observation of a Live session by Kathryn de Bruin

Wednesday: Stage 2 with videos of real session and observation of a Live session by Kathryn de Bruin

Thursday:  EFT with individuals (EFIT) and EFT with families (EFFT)

COST:

Early Bird:  $995.    This rate ends on January 28, 2024 at 9pm PST.

Military and Associate Clinician: $895.   This rates ends on February 25, 2024 at 9pm PST.

Full-Time Student: $695.    This rates ends on February 25, 2024 at 9pm PST.

Regular:  $1095

Prior to the training, each registered participant will receive a welcome letter via email with more details including parking and local lunch spots.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Please understand. When you sign up and pay for this, or any EWNIEFT Community event, we count on those funds in advance to fulfill negotiated payment to our trainers and facility-use fees. We are a non-profit organization and each event must pay entirely for itself. If we cannot meet our financial obligation to our trainers, they may not be willing to return to our Community for future trainings. Therefore, cancellations are allowed up to 30 days before the start date of the training, less a $50 non-refundable administrative fee. If you must cancel with less than 30 days notice you may apply the missed registration or registration fees to any future EWNIEFT Community sponsored events up to two years later. If you have paid and fail to attend all or a portion of an Externship training, all or a portion of a Core Skills training module and/or a Master Class training for any reason without prior notification, no refund nor future compensation will be offered.
